1. each 和 every 之后一般接单数可数名词，用作主语时，其谓语动词用单数。如：
Each does his own work. 各人做我们的工作。
Every student in the school passed the swimming test. 这个学校的每一个学生都通过了游泳测试。
若后接两个用 and 连接的名词，其谓语依旧用单数。如：
Every [Each] man and woman knows it. 每一个男性和女性都了解此事。
2. 但，each 用于复数主语后作同位语，后面的谓语用复数。如：
The students each have a dictionary. 学生每个人有一本字典。
问题：除上述状况外，each，every还有当作复数的么？
有一种状况可以补充：当 every 后面接有数词或few时，数词或few后面可以接复数名词。如：
1. We meet every few days. 大家每隔几天就会一次面。
2.Every few days there seemed to be another setback. 每隔几日好像就有一次挫折。
3. We take classes in chemistry every three days. 大家每隔两天就上化学课。
4. You must take your medicine every two hours. 你得每两小时服药一次。
5. The Olympics are held every four years. 奥林匹克运动会每4年办一次。
6. According to the American Constitution, Presidential elections are held every four years. 根据美国宪法，总统每4年选举一次。
7. I’ve been having violin lessons every two weeks, but I think I’ll make it every week from now on. 我一直是每两个星期上一次小提琴课，但我想从目前起每一个星期都上课。
8. Our college class has a reunion at the college every five years. 大家大学时的同学每五年在大学重聚一次。
9. One in every ten children now suffers from asthma. 目前有十分之一的孩子患有哮喘病。
